Sooooo….I have decided to put this page to rest. I had so much fun when I started. My daughter was little and us living so far from family and friends, it really became a great way of sharing our every day. But now, my daughter is older, and having a new little one, I feel like it’s all been said and done. As far as poopings and feedings go. This was a pretty family oriented blog and I’m thinking of reinventing my self. Re boot and re fresh. You know, get to feel the urge to write again, like I did in the beginning. But for that to happen I have to start new.

So to all of you that’s been sticking with me and commenting, thank you, you made many of my days!

…or yeah well most of you anyways….some I don’t know what the f*ck you were thinking… but anyways….some I’m sure I’ll “see” again, and to the rest of you, over and out!

The basketball season just started again, so it’s back to being solo on the weekends while my husband is away playing games. I can think it’s pretty nice to be alone with the kids. Then that hour passes and I just miss him. It get’s so lonely, even though he’s mostly laying on the sofa after practice, at least he’s laying there. I can go rub his head, tell him my little stories about the days adventures or sigh when picking up the popsicle and candy wrappers he spreads around himself….I miss him.

I did get a lot done today though. Vacuuming and mopping that I’ve tried to do for a few days now but gotten no where. Done!

Surprisingly I seem to get more done when my husband is not here. How that’s possible I have no idea…

Jelly Bellys

My husband bought a 1,8 kg jar of mixed Jelly Beans at Costco last time we were there. (Not good.)

He only eats the fruity ones, I only like the “white” ones. Buttered popcorn, coconut, vanilla, toasted marshmallow and there’s a couple of brown ones too, Cappuccino and chocolate. When he buys the small boxes he alway gives me the white ones, it’s usually just a few. In this jar I’d say it’s a third. So when he takes his fist of Jelly Beans he picks out the white ones and leaves them in a cup for me in the kitchen.(Not good.)

I’m on a workout regimen here right, I don’t need these little sugary bombs hollering at me every time I’m in the kitchen. And I’m not really a “candy person”, but Jelly Beans are SO good! So small and spot on in its flavors, so hard to resist. (Not good.)

I happened to glance at the ingredient label and did you know that one serving, ONE serving which I’m guessing is a fist full, is 616 kacl! That is absolutely insane. Thank god the jar is now empty. I’m giving that cup of white ones away and will strongly oppose another jar coming in to this house.

Actually I think I’ll send my beans to my sister who just told me the other day she only has 8% body fat. She’ll like em’.

Sky high oasis

I love Tokyo with all the hussle and bussle. If you know what you’re looking for you’ll realize there are hidden gems all over town.On rooftop of a department store in the middle of Shinjuku, I found a playground! I took Hanna last spring when it was still really cold and it wasn’t all that fun. But we went again the other day and this time, although very hot, it was so much fun.

This time there were four big mist machines surrounding the play area. Nice cool mist was spraying all over and it was so refreshing! And the outdoor cafe was open, serving light meals, ice cream and BEER! There’s nothing like a cold ASAHI on a hot summer day.

My favorite beer!!

I’ve gotten to know an awesome girl too, Alex. She’s my husbands new teammates wife, and could possibly be one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. And she shares my love for coffee and thrift stores! Yay! Really down to do what ever and hang with me and the kids on our little escapades.

Every other day think about the fact that I don’t have a license still. I don’t know how to drive a fucking car! It’s ridiculous! At home in Cali. my husband is jokingly saying he’s driving Miss Daisy, when he chauffeurs me around to appointments and places I wanna go. Here in Japan is easier since I just get on the train. But it’s not like I haven’t tried…

Last year I tried to get a drivers permit in Sweden, I was thinking I was gonna take an intensive course while visiting my family. I was told that it was IMPOSSIBLE since I wasn’t living in Sweden anymore, although I’m still a Swedish citizen. I would have to have lived at least 6 months in Sweden before applying for a permit again. Ok, that rule sucks ass.

And then, a month ago I’m picking up the mail and there’s an envelope for me, containing ballets and info about voting in the Swedish government election that’s coming up in a week or so.

SO….if I’m getting this right, it’s absolutely impossible for me, to get to learn how to drive a car in my home country, but they want me to VOTE in an election in a country I haven’t lived in for the past 6 years…..that might make sense to a fucking idiot, I still don’t get it.

Back on the horse

Yes, I’m still out there running, to my own surprise. I took a little break for a couple of weeks cuz it’s just been too hot. Without sounding like my grandmother who’s always commenting on the weather, but it really IS uncomfortably hot here still! Now it’s 22.10 and it’s 27°C out!

Anyways, my agency called the other day and said my old trusty clients I always worked for wanted me for a job on October 1st. That would be my first job post baby nr 2. I said yes of course cuz I can’t wait to get back to work!

And I really can’t be slacking with the running no more. I got about 3 weeks to get in fab shape.

I’m gonna have to go and get a hair cut too. I know I told myself and my husband I wouldn’t touch my hair again till it got some length to it but it needs a run through pretty bad. My hair is a bit out of control and I never brush it so I don’t really know what shape it’s in, but I know at work they’re gonna give me some type of delicious old lady hairdo, so I’m gonna have to trim it. Make it purty looking yah!

Mall time

We went on a little outing today. A “mall outing”, to the AEON Mall in Tachikawa. I’m pretty sure I’ve been there before, a long time ago. I love indoor malls. The bigger the better. So much to look at and so much to buy. The only thing missing was that fat stack of crisp 10.000 yen bills that I forgot at home…I wished.

Hanna had a great time, cuz they had this ginormous area with arcade games, claws, rides, bowling, you name it. Everything costing 200 yen. That adds up pretty fast, let me tell you.

We played, had lunch, walked around, the kids napped, I would have napped if I could. We spent the whole day there pretty much. Once we got home I was so tired all I could do was sit on the sofa and stare.

I’m gonna drag myself to bed, my husband said he’ll take all the feedings tonight so that I can get a whole nights sleep! Great end to a great day, I love my man!

I’m up for air! My blog is as neglected as my feet, I know. Not that I haven’t had anything to share with the “world”. It’s just that my priorities have been elsewhere you could say. Taking care of the family, making sure it all works out at the end of the day. Keep everybody, dry, fed and happy.

The life of the parent, huh…

Lately I’ve been day dreaming a lot, the luxury of having no responsibility, sleeping in, drink beer when ever I want, kids that can wipe their own asses, winning the lottery, cellulite free thighs….you know, the usual.

With that said, I’m gonna go paint my toenails. My favorite color right now, Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri Nr 21, “Uptempo plum”

No mercy

I’ve had THE longest most draining, psycho day today. I thought it would never come to an end. Mikey is out of town this weekend for pre season games and off course then Micah decides to have serious farty melt downs. Tummy ache and the burpies. Only calm when I hold him and pat his back.

Hanna woke up way to early and I felt like I hadn’t slept at all. Then Micah gets a nasty heat rash all over his body and of course then really uncomfortable. And I sure wasn’t the happiest mom. Serious PMS symptoms. Smallest things would make me snap and then I’d instantly feel so bad for losing my temper, or that I don’t laugh enough or is not nice enough, I turn in to “mommy the kissy plant” as Hanna says. My pulse was just going up and down, up and down…..serious overload!

At one point I pictured Mikey coming home at night finding me behind the curtains smearing myself in poop, rambling the alphabet…..

But now it’s finally coming to and end! Kids are down and the husband will be home in 2,5h. And I’m still sane, for now.
